Some of you might have noticed that I have not updated this blog for the last few weeks. As always there are reasons. I have had a medical emergency (surgery to remove a tumor on my colon), which compelled me to take care of first things first. I am in the midst of a what is expected to be a long recovery, and once I have the required strength and presence of mind I will continue to post the usual mixture of articles and musical pieces. I might also elect to write about my illness and give some views on cancer, its treatment and what it does to the human body and mind.
