Arthur Rubinstein: Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto



Arthur Rubinstein [1887-1982] performs the  Edvard Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor, opus 16, with the London Symphony Orchestra, André Previn conducting, in 1975. Note that Rubinstein was 88 at this performance.

  1. I wonder wheether it was Rubinstein or Previn who decided on the tempo. I found it a bit slow.

    1. I suggest that it was Rubinstein, chiefly a result of maturity, since in other recordings he has played it at a faster tempo.
